Hope you are all enjoying the crazy, incredible weather we've had this weekend!
Some things to make note of...
-Tomorrow starts "RUNNING WEEK"!!! So says me! In honor of the milder temperatures, earlier sunrise, and winter bodies, some of us will be running an extra 3 miles a day Monday through Friday this week. What does "extra" mean? I say it means 3 miles in addition to what you would have done normally in the form of exercise that day. To support that, I will be ready and waiting at 5:25 am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at the Karate Studio door before my 6:00 am class this week to run along with you. We have a one mile "loop" around the shopping center all mapped out..we will repeat it 3 times! I will be happy to do the same for the later group on Monday and Friday at 10:15 am (for that group, you need to let me know of your interest in advance). I am allowing 35 minutes to run 3 miles!!!! That is almost a 12 minute mile allowance. So if you are "not a runner" bc you have an injury or limitation, you could pretty much be a speed walker and make it in 35 minutes. If you are "not a runner" just bc it is unpleasant for you but you are completely capable...you hardly have any excuse! If you don't usually or can't work out at 6:00 am bc of family/work conflicts, you could still come out at 5:25 am and run the three miles and be back home by 6:15 am. So, not many excuses really. If you just don't want to...I completely respect that! Added bonus, if you figure out how to download and use the Map My Run app, email me the links to your 5 runs and you get a free class. (FYI...for my playlist contest, Carolyn and Alex each turned in two playlist for two free classes equaling $40 and Jen turned in one for a value of a free class for $20. That's not bad! Thanks guys!) REMEMBER, FOR THE RUNNING, IT IS FREE! LIKE FREE, FREE!!! YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A CLIENT OR A CURRENT PACKAGE HOLDER (but you can be, we'll just ignore that about you! haha). If you just want or need a boost to your summer running, come on out and join us!
-Memorial Day Madness!!! I will be having only 1 large class (possibly indoor/outdoor "Nasty 90"ish" on Memorial Day! That class will start at 8:00 am and will be approx. 90 minutes with only 25 spots available. You can sign up NOW if you would like :) Yes, Joe, now...really!
-IMPORTANT FUTURE SCHEDULE CHANGES...
As summer approaches, I will gradually be making a few changes to my class schedule.
JUNE 2014: Beginning Tuesday, June 3rd there will no longer be "Barefoot at the Barre" classes during the week. The Tuesday/Thursday "Barre" time slots will become "Training Circuits" just like the other classes offered. For the month of June, there will still be "Barre" class on Sunday's at 8:45 am (with the exception of June 1st...there will be no classes at all that day).
So beginning Monday, June 2nd the basic weekly schedule will be:
Mon 6:00 am and 9:15 am, Tues/Thurs/Fri 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 9:15 am, Sunday 7:30 am "Training Class" and 8:45 am "Barre" Class!
If this is a lot to take in, no worries my June calendar will reflect these minor changes and it will be published by this Friday, 3/23!
-JULY AND AUGUST 2014: Beginning July 1st, there will be no classes at all on Mondays for the summer. The class schedule will be: Tues/Thurs/Friday at 6:00, 8:00, 9:15 am and Sundays at 7:30 am...all of those classes will be "Training Classes" (group training classes that will including cardio, core and strength every single time) There will, however, may be one Sunday per each of these months that I will not have class...you will be notified in advance if that should occur.
-SEPTEMBER 2014: I will be "closed" for business September 1-7, 2014. All classes and potentially a new schedule and programming will resume on Monday, September 7th for the fall.
-PRICING AND EXPIRATION DATES: All classes and packages purchased after July 1st and before September 1st will expire 40 days from that date (instead of 35 days). This allows for the summer schedule changes as well as vacations and other hot, fun summer stuff!
Last, but not least, the nitty-gritty....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, from this point forward, always bring shoes suitable for outdoor workouts and running. Also, the heat is on!!! As it get's warmer outside, I will not be keeping the air conditioning too low to over compensate for the heat. We will all gradually adjust to the natural changes in the season together. Anyway, (borrowed from one of my most clever clients) remember, "the wetter, the better"!!!
Can you tell I'm excited for summer?
