I wanted to point out to everyone that you should click on the comments area whenever you visit my site because some friends are starting to post comments in which they share their health and fitness tips, ideas, and accomplishments. You never know when someone else's experience might motivate you. Definitely worth checking out. Feel free to use the site to communicate to each other. That would make me so, so happy!
So, now on to explaining the point of the Blog Topic. I kind of took a survey about what topics you would like me to cover each time I post. After some additional thought, I've decided to introduce a few challenges before posting informational topics and articles.
I would like to pose two challenges to all of you. One is a weight loss or weight maintenance challenge that will begin immediately and continue through Wednesday, November, 24th (the day before Thanksgiving). The second challenge is a physical challenge that will also begin immediately and come to a close the first week of December.
Because I don't think I can add the woman hours of keeping track of the particulars that are normally involved in a reward based challenge, in order to be eligible, you must be accountable for posting your progress on my site at least once weekly during the challenge period.
LEAHDILLON.ORG FALL 2010 WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE...
-challenge begins October 17, 2010
-challenge ends November 24, 2010
-goal may be one of weight maintenance or weight loss
-reward for weight maintenance will be enjoying the fact that you maintained your weight (:
-if you are local, you must use the scale in the club at Cornerstone New Hope. if you are one of my friends in just let's say Texas, you must have evidence via a photo or video that you are using the same scale each time
-you must get me concrete evidence of your weight and the date via camera phone pic, flip video, or grab me so I can physically see what your weight is on the scale
-you can send me the information beginning tomorrow but no later than October 24, 2010
-if you don't send me an update on your progress via the comment area on my site, at least once a week, you are no longer in the running for the grand prize. part of this challenge is accountability.
-male and female with the top weight loss receive a free hour PT session with me (to be used before December 31, 2010) and of course, bragging rights, and the enjoyment that only weight loss can bring
-all members, non-members, friends in other states are eligible
-this challenge is not official in any way, shape, or form...I'm trying to just give a way for all of you to be accountable if it is something that you think will help to motivate you to make some progress before the holidays begin...

-begins October 17, 2010
-ends week of November 29, 2010
-next week I will post the final performance schedule...each competitor will schedule a time with me during the final week so that I can officially view and document your mileage in order to determine the winners
-parameters: 2 mins running on the treadmill (no incline), 2 mins rowing (resistance set at 10), 2 mins biking on the upright bike (resistance set at 12) with 2 mins break in between each. total time = 10 minutes
-participants with the furthest cumulative mileage in the 10 minutes will be eligible to participate in an indoor/outdoor group class held on December 5, 2010 at the New Hope club, free of charge...taught by yours truly. the class will consist of 12 participants. there will be 2 classes. 24 total "winners". top 12 will take class together, next 12 will take class together.
-in order to be eligible, you must post that you are partipating before October 24, 2010 on this site in the comments area.
-all participants that post their intention to participate and also complete the final time trial the week of November 29, 2010, will receive a leahdillon.org t-shirt
-this challenge is not official in any way, shape or form
